Harris� Ultra SuperMissileweld� 1/8"" Dia x 14"" Ultimate Steel Alloy Maintenance Electrode comes in a 10 lb. tube. Ultra SuperMissileweld� has the ability to weld over its own flux, making it an exceptional stud removal electrode. The nominal composition of this weld metal assures exceptional strength with crack resistant welds on problem steels such as high carbon, tool steels, stainless steels, spring steels, dies and dissimilar steels. Uses AC or DC reverse polarity to bevel heavy sections. If the base metal is high carbon steel a 400 deg F preheat is recommended, along with holding a tight arc and running a stringer bead. Peening will help relieve stresses. Let each pass cool and slag will peel off easily.
