Avesta 309L-17 ACDC Low carbon stainless steel stick electrode measuring 3/32" X 12" is ideally designed for unlike welding among stainless and mild or low-alloy steels. Welder-friendly electrode uses both AC/DC to weld provides good weldability in both vertical as well as horizontal positions. It accommodate as a buffer layer while performing overlay welding on mild steels by featuring 18 Cr 8 Ni deposition in its first layer. It comes with austenite structure with 10-15% ferrite and can be used in high temperature welding applications that meets ASTM 309S. It complies with EN ISO 3581-A, E 23 12 L r and AWS A5.4 standards and comes in a 9 lb tube.
