ESAB® AtomArc® 7018-B2L Low Alloy Steel Electrode comes with a low carbon analysis and reduces cracking in weldments by featuring determined carbon content in the weld metal and is widely employed in piping, boiler work, castings and forgings. 3/32" Cr-Mo electrode is engineered carefully gives stable arc while welding low alloy steels in the categories of 1/2% Cr-1/2% Mo, 1% Cr-1/2% Mo, 1 1/4% Cr-1/2% Mo steels and meets the specification of AWS A5.5 and ASME SFA 5.5. 50 lb Electrode requires preheat to weld heavy sections and is used with hardenable steels that prevent hard heat-affected zone formation. Electrode is sold as a 50 lb hermetically sealed container.
