EXATON® stainless steel wires designed to be welded with either 100% CO2 (X=1) or Argon / CO2 (X=4) gas mixtures. These wires exhibit a spray like arc transfer, easy slag removal and can be welded within a wide range of parameters. EXATON® ER2594 wires can be used to weld super duplex stainless steels. It may also be used to weld low alloy steels to duplex stainless steels. The composition is balanced to achieve a microstructure of approximately 45% ferrite and 55% austenite in the weld deposit.
