Also, welds type 304 and similar base metals where severe conditions may exist. At times it is used to weld dissimilar steels. The 0.65-1.00% silicon content improves the wetting and washing behavior in the gas-shielded welding processes. Conforms to AWS A5.9 ER 309LSi.Features
- Welds 304 and similar base metals in wrought or cast form and where severe corrosion conditions may exist
- Sometimes welds dissimilar steels
- Higher 0.65-1.00% silicon content improves the wetting and washing behavior of the weld metal
- 87,000 psi tensile strength (as welded)
- 58,000 psi yield strength (as welded)
- 48% elongation
- 60% reduction of area (as welded)
- 85 HRB Rockwell B hardness (as welded)
- 160 HB Brinell hardness (as welded)
- 95 ft./lb. @ room temperature Charpy V (as welded)
- One year warranty
- Conforms to ANSI/AWS A5.9 and ASME SFA 5.9 ER 309LSi
