The Airgas Model 144 regulator reduces cylinder pressure in four stages. The design incorporates three pistonsensed stages and a final fourth adjustable pressure stage with an Elgiloy® metal diaphragm. This technology provides distribution of the J-T cooling effect between multiple stages. As a result, reduction in cooling maintains gas temperatures above the dew point in the pressure regulator while preserving the mixture composition and achieving stable analytical results.Features
